Berwick Springs Lake – Parliamentary Debate
October 15th 2025 was a tense day, we didn’t know if the debate would even go ahead as the Liberal leadership of Brad Battin and David Davis sought to undermine Ann-Marie Hermans and cancel the debate.
Ultimately the debate went ahead and Ann-Marie Hermans spoke with eloquence, intelligence and passion demonstrating her full grasp of the renaming issue. It has never been about race it has only ever been about democratic due process. As she spoke Stitt sat and played on her phone.
Only David Limbrick of The Libertarians spoke in favour of the motion and he did so with a full understanding of the real issue.
David Davis, leader of the Liberals spoke like a member of the Labour government, as did the shadow minister for multicultural affairs. Davis was full of weasel words.
So why did Battin, who had propsed that our community create the commission turn on the community? We are waiting for an answer.
